The Moscow region takes first place in the country in terms of the development of bioenergy. According to the Association for the Development of Renovated Energy, in 2025, five new power plants operating on landfill gas are planned in the region. Their total capacity will be 20.6 MW.
Flot gas is a type of biogas, which is formed during the decomposition of organic waste at landfills. It consists mainly of methane and carbon dioxide. This renewable energy source is considered environmentally friendly and helps to dispose of household waste.
Currently, two similar stations are already working in the suburbs. One of them uses biogas with a capacity of 10 MW, the other – 1 MW flap with a power of 1 MW. New objects will significantly increase the generation of green energy in the region.
The development of bioenergy solves several important tasks at once: waste disposal, production of environmentally friendly energy and reducing the environmental load.
