The press service of the Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University (NGPU) reported that scientists of the university, together with industrial partners, developed the world’s first four-component metabiotics. These drugs are designed to normalize microflora and improve metabolism in people of any age.
Human microbia consists of trillions of bacteria, which affect immunity and other physiological processes. Conventional probiotics containing living bacteria can cause rejection, since each body is unique. Metabiotics work differently – they do not contain foreign microorganisms, but only create favorable conditions for the growth of beneficial bacteria.
The development is based on short -chain fatty acids that serve as a nutrient medium for microflora. They replace harmful bacteria, reducing the processes of decay in the intestines. In addition, the drug contains antioxidants, bacteriocins and components that strengthen immunity.
Scientists note that metabiotics are especially relevant in modern conditions, when microflora negatively affects stress, poor ecology and medication.
