In Novosibirsk, a system was developed for checking heat -eating assemblies (TVS) used in nuclear power plants. The development of the design and technological institute of scientific instrumentation of the SB RAS allows you to simultaneously inspect 18 TVS channels instead of one, which significantly accelerates the control process.
Heating assemblies are complex structures with narrow guide channels with a diameter of only 1 cm and up to 4.5 meters long. Previously, they were checked manually using single -channel endoscopes, which took a lot of time. The new complex uses up to 19 probes at the same time and reduces the time of full check to 10 minutes instead of several hours.
The system was created for the Novosibirsk Khimkontentta Plant, which produces nuclear fuel for 6% of world energy reactors. The device of the device allows you to inspect the internal surfaces of assemblies at an angle of at least 90 degrees, and the results are automatically stored in the database.
According to the developers, the complex can work continuously up to 24 hours.
