According to the results of a fresh GSMarena survey, OnePlus Nord CE5 received the title of “The worst smartphone of summer”.
The model was sharply criticized by users – 81.5% of respondents expressed dissatisfaction with its technical characteristics, and only 5% of respondents are ready to consider the purchase of a device without reservations.
The Nord CE5 is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8350 APEX chip, which, according to users, suffers from a weak cooling system.
At the same time, the smartphone is equipped with a 5200 mAh battery with a fast charging 80 W – not the most outstanding indicator by the standards of 2025, especially considering that the Indian version has a 7100 mAh battery.
The price of the device starts from € 319, which also caused a negative reaction.
Not much better than the more advanced OnePlus Nord 5. Only 9.6% of the survey voted for its purchase. 44% called the “iron” insufficient, and 38.2% – an overstated price.
As a result, both new products of OnePlus met a cool reception of the audience and risk falling into sales.
