In the Losynaya Island National Park in Moscow, the flowering season of rare orchids began. Biologists have discovered four new places at once, where Lyubka Zelenotsuvetova grows – an endangered species, listed in the Red Book of Moscow and protected at the international level.
This delicate plant with white-green flowers and two large leaves can only be found in old wet forests. Its seeds germinate only with the help of special mushrooms that live in the soil. Therefore, any environmental changes can harm these plants.
In addition to Lyubka Zelenotsvetkova, other rare orchids can be seen in the park. Among them:
-
Lubka is two -leafed – With white flowers, lives on forest edges and meadows.
-
Dremlik swamp -It grows in raw meadow and blooms in June-July.
-
PalChatranenik Fuchs -With pink-purple flowers, loves rich forest soil.
-
