Today, from the Vostochny cosmodrome, at 8:54 in Moscow, the Soyuz-2.1b missile started. On board were two Ionosphere-M satellites, the Iranian telecommunications satellite of the Nahid-2 and 17 Russian small satellites. The launch was successful, the accelerated unit separated and began to withdraw the devices into the right orbit.
Enospher-M satellites No. 3 and No. 4 will become part of the Ionozond system, which studies the state of the ionosphere-the upper layer of the atmosphere important for cosmic weather. The system is created for the Russian Academy of Sciences and Roshydromet and will include four such satellites.
The Iranian satellite of the Nahid-2 was launched under a commercial contract in the interests of the Iranian Space Agency.
Russian small satellites will perform different tasks: photograph the land, monitor the courts, explore the connection and conduct experiments on managing satellites in a low orbit. Nine of them was developed by Geoscan.
