Azimuth company, which is part of the Rostec State, and the Almaz -Antei concern began the development of an electronic collection of aeronautical information (EAIP) as part of the national project for unmanned systems. The project provides for the transition from paper and PDF documents to the AIXM digital format with the creation of a single database.
The new system will provide an automated collection, verification and distribution of aeronautical information online. Users will gain access to digital maps and data necessary for organizing air traffic and flights of all types of aircraft.
As Viktor Solomensev from Azimuth noted, the system is especially important for the integration of unmanned aviation into a common airspace. The project will end in 2027 simultaneously with the creation of a unified airspace planning system.
According to Dmitry Savitsky from Almaz – Antea, all the digital systems developed will be synchronized and ensured by the coordinated operation of airlines, drones and air traffic control operators.
