The deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Tourism Sergei Krivonosov said that they plan to create emergency care services for tourists abroad. They will be included in a single tourist platform, the development of which is carried out on behalf of the president.
According to him, new services will allow tourists to quickly contact local emergency services, the Consulate of the Russian Federation, apply for the theft or loss of documents, as well as store their copies in the cloud. In parallel, interaction with consulates is simplified – the procedures for drawing up temporary documents are accelerated, a round -the -clock hotline of support will appear.
Krivonosov noted that tour operators will be obliged to better inform customers about actions in loss of documents and offer property insurance. This should reduce the risks for Russian travelers.
