Sony officially launched a free program for replacing the Xperia 1 VII smartphones with a factory marriage.
As it turned out, some of the devices received a defective fee, due to which the devices could turn off spontaneously, reboot or completely stop turning on.
The company conducted an investigation and changed the production process to prevent a repetition of the problem in new parties. Owners of Xperia 1 VII are recommended to check their IMEI smartphone on a special Sony website.
If the device is included in the list raised by the defect, the user will be offered instructions for applying for a free replacement application. The program starts on July 21.
Sony advises in advance to create a backup copy of the data before sending the phone to the service center. The company apologized for inconvenience and assured that new devices are produced using updated technology.
