It became known that the Telegram messenger in the framework of the Federal Law “On Landing” began the process of registering an official representation in Russia. The corresponding entry appeared in the register of Roskomnadzor.
According to the specified law, large IT companies are required to create and register an authorized legal entity in Russia, if the daily number of their users exceeds 500 thousand people. Otherwise, various measures may be followed, including the ban on the distribution of advertising information and restricting financial transactions.
So far, Telegram has fulfilled only two of the three main requirements: I posted a feedback form on his resource and registered a personal account on the official website of the RKN. The branch or representative office is still at the stage of approval.
