The head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy, Sergei Boyarsky, proposed to introduce a mandatory marking for texts, articles and images created using artificial intelligence (AI).
At a press conference in the multimedia center of the Russia-Today media group, he noted that more and more media use AI to create materials, sometimes simply copying and processing someone else’s information. In his opinion, people have the right to know who the author of the text is a person or a neural network.
“In my opinion, at least a person has the right to know who the text is written by a person or artificial intelligence,” the deputy emphasized.
Boyarsky added that this issue will be considered at meetings of the relevant State Duma Committee.
