In Tomsk, an automated installation for hardening railway wheels was developed and assembled the first in Russia. According to Governor Vladimir Mazur, new equipment exceeds foreign analogues in universality – it is able to process wheels for trams, metro wagons and locomotives.
The peculiarity of Tomsk development is the complete automation of the hardening process. Installation software was also created by local specialists and included in the register of domestic software. According to laboratory tests, the quality of processing corresponds to both Russian and international standards, Vladimir Mazur noted.
The development belongs to the engineers of the Tomsk electronic company, who were the first in the country to solve a difficult technical problem.
The new installation will allow Russian enterprises to abandon the import of such equipment.
