In the press service of the Saratov State Technical University. Yu. A. Gagarin (SSTU) reported that university experts developed a virtual assistant for museums based on artificial intelligence (AI). The program is able to conduct a dialogue with visitors, demonstrate exhibits and tell interesting facts.
A feature of development is synchronous generation of replicas, gestures and animation. An animated 3D model accompanies speech with realistic movements and adapted articulation. For answers, not recorded audio roads are used, but unique replicas created by the neural network in real time.
The system is built on an integration frame uniting LLM model, a speech synthesis service and an action planning module. This creates the effect of live communication and allows the guide to work on a predetermined topic.
The organizers of the Festival of Archeology and the reconstruction of the UKK and representatives of the Russia – My History in Saratov have already become interested in the development. For the first project, a database is formed on the history of the Wreesh Archaeological Expedition, which has been conducted for more than 20 years.
In addition to the museum sphere, they plan to use an intellectual assistant at the university itself. He will help applicants and freshmen of the Institute of Applied Information Technologies and Communications of the SSTU.
