The famous expert in the field of processors Momomo warned that AMD made changes to several specifications of Ryzen processors, according to which the devices are equipped with cheap or even decorated coolers. Some processors are supplied at all without coolers.
In his X-account, Momomo noted that on some pages with a description of the processors a text was discovered that is difficult to notice in some browsers indicating the completion of the production cycle of the SR4 cooler, known as Wraith Prism.
According to the expert, this cooler, which is usually included with AMD Ryzen processors, is valued for good cooling performance and RGB backlighting, which is rarely found in serial coolers.
According to the PCWORLD portal, the production of Wraith Prism and Wraith Spire cooler ended after August 1, 2025. Instead, the processors Ryzen 5000, 7000 and 8000g will be equipped with the basic cooler of Wraith Stealth (SR1) with a 92-mm fan and without illumination. This model will be delivered with middle -class processors, and high -performance Ryzen 7 7700 and Ryzen 9 9700 will be without cooler.
AMD plans to use the basic design with future processors and admits that collectors can use their own cooling systems.
