AMD officially confirmed that together with Microsoft is developing new chips for the next generation gaming and computing devices.
These SOC will be used not only in future Xbox consoles, but also in a PC, as well as portable gaming devices. This became known during the AMD report on financial results for the II quarter of 2025.
Recall that there was also information according to which the AMD customer and game products segment showed impressive growth – revenue reached $ 2.5 billion, which is 66% more compared to the same period last year.
The main contribution was made by Ryzen processors, especially the new Ryzen 9000x3D models. The game segment also intensified significantly.
So, sales of graphic solutions Radeon RX 9000 and specialized chips for consoles and portable devices increased by 83.3%, to $ 1.1 billion.
The cooperation of AMD and Microsoft has been going on for many years and previously its results have become chips for Xbox Series X/S. Now companies go beyond traditional consoles, working on a universal solution for a broader spectrum of devices.
