Samsung plans to release its first “smart” glasses with an expanded reality (XR) function by the end of 2026. This was announced by the GSMArena portal with reference to informed sources. By this, the next insiders confirmed the work of Samsung on this device and the approximate release date.
This decision is aimed at strengthening the company’s positions in the promising market of wearable electronics, which, according to forecasts, will become the next key segment after smartphones.
The design of new glasses will be similar to the Ray-Ban *Meta model. The main technical characteristics of the device suggest a built -in microphone, dynamics and camera.
It is expected that Samsung glasses will be equipped with voice AI, which will provide users with the opportunity to make calls, send text messages, record content and manage the reproduction of multimedia files.
Earlier this year, the South Korean vendor has already reported two internal projects known as Project Haean and Project Jinju. According to unconfirmed data, these devices can be represented simultaneously with the XR Project Moohan’s previously announced set.
