The press service of the I. S. Turgenev Oryol State University reported that university experts developed contactless sensors for the aviation industry based on the Russian microcircuit. The devices are designed to accurately determine the distance to the metal surfaces in the chassis, doors and mechanisms of the wing of aircraft.
According to the university, the new development is characterized by increased reliability and accuracy of measurements. The created microcircuit automatically corrects the parameters of work, minimizing the errors. The project was implemented in conjunction with the Tarasov Air Avtomatika enterprise.
According to the head of the Department of Electronics Vladislav Mishin, there are practically no domestic analogues of such sensors in the Russian aircraft industry market. Development not only closes the needs of the domestic market, but also creates the potential for entering the international arena.
The work was carried out in the engineering center of the digital environment, created in 2018 with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
