FoxConn, the largest APPLE partner in the iPhone assembly, changes business direction. The company reduces the number of specialists in India – about 300 Chinese engineers will be returned to their homeland.
The main reason for changes is the growth of interest in artificial intelligence. Instead of the usual assembly of Foxconn smartphones and computers, now relies on the production of servers for AI.
Previously, Foxconn was associated with giant factories that produced millions of iPhone. Now the company wants to take a key place in, according to experts, the “future” of computer technology. According to Barclays analysts, Foxconn gradually goes beyond his “traditional” business and will become a noticeable player not only in the field of AI servers, but also in new directions-from electric vehicles to humanoid robots.
To strengthen positions, Foxconn is already cooperating with Nvidia, Supermicro and Dell.
