The function of satellite communication in smartphones, which was previously used only in emergency situations, is gradually becoming more everyday. But alas, not all manufacturers are in a hurry to introduce this technology in mass phones.
The Digital Chat Station Insider reports that Chinese smartphone manufacturers reduce the use of satellite communication, leaving it only for the most expensive models with top memory.
This is bad news for those who were waiting for satellite functions to appear in more affordable Android smartphones. On the iPhone they already have, Google plans to add them to the Pixel 10, and the rest of the Android devices is mainly a privilege of flagships, such as Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. If Chinese brands abandon this idea for mid -budget models, other manufacturers are even less incentives for cheaper phones.
Now satellite communications in smartphones are still rare.
