Navio’s autonomous tractor successfully overcame the route from St. Petersburg to Kazan along the federal routes. The mileage amounted to more than 1600 kilometers and took 24 hours – 2.5 times faster than a regular flight with the driver.

During the tests in the cab, there was an engineer to control the system. The truck moved along high-speed highways M-11 Neva, A-113 TsKAD and M-12 Vostok without interruptions.

Navio said the test confirmed the reliability of autonomous control technology. The main advantage is a significant reduction in the delivery time of cargo over long distances.

Navio Technical Director Pavel Savinkov noted that such systems will help to solve the problem of lack of drivers and increase the volume of cargo transportation between the regions. In addition, autonomous transport can increase safety on high -speed tracks.
