The head of the Windows division Pavan Davuluri said that the future of Windows is associated with artificial intelligence taking into account the context. Windows 11 is already capable of analyzing information from the screen, as the user does. In the future, the Windows 11 versions will support voice commands, visual elements and screen interfaces.
Davuluri noted the transition from “click” to interaction based on intentions. The Windows 11 function has a “parameters” function with artificial intelligence, available on computers with Copilot+ after updating in August 2025.
This function “understands” the user’s intentions even with an uncontented request thanks to the Mu-MUDA, working on the device. Local models, such as PHI, integrate into the Edge browser and provide high AI performance on the device. Copilot+ uses a NPU for PC, but PHI functions can work with a graphic processor.
At the same time, there was not a word about work on Windows 12 in an interview with Davuluri. He mentioned that although this OS is declared, but now it is not a priority due to work on the “understanding” AI.
