Huawei introduced its first TV under the Mate brand. The new Mate TV received a mini-led screen with a brightness of up to 5,000 threads and 91% coverage of the color space BT.2020. The TV works on Harmonyos.
Its interface is similar to a smartphone: on the main screen you can see the icons of applications and widgets. Mate TV is equipped with a powerful ARM processor and 12 GB of RAM.
A feature of the novelty are three control methods. Firstly, a standard remote control with the ability to control the cursor. Secondly, a stylus for drawing right on the screen. Thirdly, a large multi-tank panel with buttons on the sides and support for gestures that allows you to control the TV as a smartphone. Mate TV is equipped with a 50 MP camera for 4K video calls. The camera also supports AI-inspiration of faces.
The price has not yet been announced, but the launch is expected later this year.
