Huawei, known for its smartphones, actively develops technologies for electric vehicles. At the recently past Huawei Megawatt Superchanging Summit in Sichuan, China, the company introduced the world’s first 100 mW charger for heavy trucks.
The station has an installed capacity of 100,000 kW (100 MW). At the first stage, half of the power is available – 50 MW.
The charger station is equipped with 18 stands of 1.44 MW, 108 stands of 600 kW and 72 liquid-cooled stands of 720 kW. In addition, solar parking with a capacity of 1 MW and two energy storages with a smart cooling system and a capacity of 215 kW, using wind and sun energy, are installed here.
In April, Huawei introduced the world’s first liquid-cooled megawatt charging module 2400A, which allows you to issue up to 1.44 MW and transfer 24 kWh per minute. Thanks to this, the truck can be charged for 100 km in just 5 minutes, and for charging a battery with a capacity of 400 kW · h to 80% will take 15 minutes.
