The press service of the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University “LETI” reported that the university and the St. Petersburg energy-saving company will create a joint laboratory for the training of specialists in the field of industrial automation. The cooperation agreement has already been concluded.
The main task of the new laboratory will be the training of personnel for the creation and maintenance of technological equipment management systems at industrial enterprises. Students and teachers will gain access to modern hardware and software tools of domestic production.
Various equipment will be installed in the laboratory: frequency converters, direct current drives, electric motors, programmable logical controllers, HMI panels, industrial network switches and SCADA systems. This will allow students to acquire practical skills in working with real industrial systems.
It is planned that the university and the company will jointly develop and implement network educational programs in demand in industry. This approach will help to ensure the training of specialists that meet the modern requirements of the labor market.
