The US announced an increase in prices for game consoles: Sony PlayStation 5 will become 10%more expensive, Nintendo Switch – by 13%, and Xbox – by 20%. The reason is the new trade duties for goods from China and India, where they mainly collect consoles. This may be touched by Russia, writes Kommersant.
Experts believe that price increases will affect not only America, but also other countries. The prefixes are not officially delivered to Russia – they come to us mainly from Dubai and Kazakhstan. Therefore, increasing prices abroad will sooner or later affect us.
Consoles remain a popular choice in Russia, despite the difficulties with buying games and services. According to experts, this is due to the availability: a good gaming computer costs from 200 thousand rubles, while the prefix can be bought for 30-50 thousand rubles and get a huge library of games.
PlayStation 5 remains especially in demand in Russia. M. Video-Eldorado said that the prefixes of this brand are more than 70% of sales. However, demand is gradually reduced.
