The press service of the Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University (NGPU) reported that university experts have developed 12 methods for training military personnel using virtual reality technologies (VR) and artificial intelligence (II). The development is aimed at the formation of collective mental models – a single understanding of the tasks and actions of each group member in emergency situations.
The methods are based on a concept in which the military not only realize the common goal, but also predict the actions of the comrades. This allows you to reduce decision -making time in critical conditions. VR technologies model scenarios such as taking hostages, wounds or disobedience to the commander, where an operational and agreed response is required.
The study covered 800 troops, including cadets of the Novosibirsk Higher Military Command and Military Institute of the Russian Guard. Experts were participants in the hostilities, including a special military operation.
Methods use game mechanics to develop skills, which are then used in a real environment. AI analyzes the actions of students and adapts scenarios to increase the efficiency of training. Development is applicable to all power structures of Russia.
