Specialists from the Subtropical Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences installed a monitoring network to study the consequences of the spill.

In the reserve of Utrish and the village of Blagoveshchenskaya, rare algae of Phillophore and Laurence, which live only in pure water, were discovered. However, studies showed the accumulation of chemical elements in algae, and in Vityazevo it was revealed a decrease in the number of female individuals of mussels relative to male.
