In the United States, technohigants intend to challenge the authorities to regulate AI

21.08.2025

Bloomberg, citing anonymous sources, reports that technological giants, including Openai, *Meta and Google, actively prevent the regulation of AI in the United States. It is even about the fact that these companies put pressure on the administration and congress in order to avoid strict laws adopted by five states, including Texas and California.

Vendoras’s preferences claim that lawmakers should stimulate innovation, and not limit them. Companies want regulation to concern the use of AI, and not its development, since the first successes can bring “trillions of dollars”.

Refined experts agree with the developers and hope to displacement of an emphasis on the regulation of the use of AI with clients. Bloomberg writes that in June, Republicans tried to introduce a moratorium on state regulation of AI, but to no avail. Nevertheless, in the July plan of Trump for AI, an optional moratorium on federal regulation is included, which prohibits financing projects in states with “excessively restrictive” regulation. Technological companies also seek to include a 10-year ban on regulation in the future federal law.
