Insider: Apple prepares a new animated interface for Siri – Bubbles

15.08.2025

Apple is going to radically change the appearance of the Siri voice assistant, this was announced by the Bloomberg insider Mark Gurman.

According to the insider, Siri will receive an animated interface called Bubbles. The idea of Bubbles is to make Siri a more lively and interactive assistant, more realistic. During the first tests, the developers worked out the Siri interface as an animated version of the Finder Mac smiley. But there may be other options similar to Memoji. The Bubbles design concept resembles Clippy Krespysh-an animated assistant from the old Microsoft Office.

Gourmet says that the updated Siri will become an important feature of two future Apple devices for a smart home: Homepad / Homepod Touch, which will be released, perhaps in 2026, as well as a new “desktop robot” in 2027.

This new visual, animated personality Siri will be especially important for a desktop robot. According to Gourmet, this device is an iPad installed on a mobile support that can rotate and follow the person around the room. Siri will act as a virtual friend, will be able to participate in conversations, offer restaurants or recipes, plan trips and perform other tasks.

The insider suggests that Bubbles will most likely become a key technology for the 2027 robot, but the updated Siri interface may appear in 2026 along with the above devices.
