Intel prepares a return on the market for desktop processors with a series of Nova Lake-S, the release of which is scheduled for II half of 2026. These CPUs will become Arrow Lake-S Refresh successors and will use the new LGA 1954 socket.
Nova Lake-S will receive up to 52 nuclei in the version with two computing crystals and 28 nuclei in a single-crib configuration. A sample with 8 manufacturing P-Cores, 16 energy-efficient E-Cores and 4 LP-E nuclei, as well as built-in graphics on 4 XE3 nuclei, has been confirmed.
Interestingly, the production will be partially entrusted with TSMC, despite the promotion of Intel 18A.
Arrow Lake-S Refresh, which will come out earlier, will offer only an increase in frequencies, but Nova Lake-S promises to become a big step forward.
Intel claims that the new architecture will reduce the gap with AMD, whose Zen 5 processors are now dominated by games and multi -flow tasks. The announcement of the first motherboards for Nova Lake is expected already at the Computex 2026.
