Apple began negotiations with the Russian authorities and the business about the possibility of the appearance of domestic application stores in the App Store, primarily Rustore. This was reported by Izvestia sources. According to them, the company even promised the mincifers not to prevent the placement of Rustore.
On September 1, a law is entering into force in Russia, obliging to prefer to all the sold smartphones and tablets Russian Applications store. Experts believe that Apple, which fulfills local laws, is highly likely to fulfill this requirement.
The situation is especially important for iPhone users. On Android devices, the problem is solved simply – you can install third -party stores like Rustore with APK. But Apple usually does not allow the installation of third -party applications bypassing the App Store, and so far there is such an opportunity only in the EU countries.
Today, the lack of Rustore on the iPhone creates difficulties for retailers: they cannot officially fulfill new requirements. Because of this, sellers of “gray” imports receive the advantage.
It is noted that the company, despite leaving the Russian market in 2022, continues to carefully comply with the laws and pay for all fines, which increases the chances of the successful completion of negotiations.
