On August 7, 2025, a meeting was held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Akhmet Gurbanov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines for Multilateral Affairs and International Economic Relations Charles Jose.
During the talks, the parties discussed key issues of cooperation between the two countries in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, and cultural and humanitarian fields.
The diplomats noted the effectiveness of the visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan to the Republic of the Philippines in 2024 and noted the need to continue the practice of holding political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
The parties considered the possibilities of developing a contractual and legal framework for cooperation.
The meeting noted the important role of Turkmenistan in promoting international cooperation. The high organizational level of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Countries (LLDC3) was emphasized.
