Meta* announced a major restructuring of her AI-organization. Earlier, the media reported plans for separate formation of four new groups, and now this is officially confirmed by the internal note, which Bloomberg and The New York Times write about.
New divisions are combined in Meta Superintelligence Labs (MSL). The main part will be the TBD Labs groupLeaded by Alexander Wang, founder of Scale AI, who joined Meta* in June. TBD Labs* will work with large basic models, including Llama*, the latest version of which was released in April. Three other groups will be engaged in research, integration of AI into products and infrastructure, respectively.
Meta* actively invests in AI to keep up with competitors such as Openai, Anthropic and Google Deepmind. The founder of the company Mark Zuckerberg also shows personal interest in the team set.
