Microsoft is considering starting a more affordable option for its Xbox Cloud Gaming service. Now stream games are available only to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, but the company is studying ways to make a service cheaper and expand its audience.
Representatives of the Xbox noted that the main goal is to provide more games for more people. For this, it is planned to expand the service for new countries and increase the number of supported devices. Stream games allow players to play games without installing them on their devices, which makes the service convenient for users who often play on the go.
Microsoft Vice President Jason Ronald noted that many Game Pass Ultimate subscribers are already using cloud access as the main or additional method of playing. This opens up the possibility of creating a more affordable streaming subscription, without the need to buy a full Game Pass package with the possibility of downloading games.
