The Moscow Physics and Technical Institute (MIPT) reported that a specialized site of the workshop for experimental and chemical production appeared on the basis of the university. It will be carried out by a full cycle of development and scaling of technologies for the synthesis of active pharmaceutical substances.
The infrastructure of the workshop includes a line of chemical reactors with a volume of 10 to 100 liters, industrial centrifuges and other equipment necessary for scaling production processes. This allows you to carry out turnkey work – from the synthesis of milligrams of new connections in the laboratory to the development of industrial production technologies.
As noted at the institute, Russian pharmaceutical companies have already shown interest in the project. They will, together with scientific groups of MIFT, develop and launch projects to create domestic drugs. The site is also focused on the production of niche products in demand by pharmaceutical companies.
