During the meeting with the general director of the State Corporation Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, the chairman of the Russian government, Mikhail Mishustin, discussed the development and production of domestic aircraft. In particular, Mishustin noted that in the Soviet Union all the key components of the aircraft were produced in the country.
Chemezov emphasized that no state in the world is able to fully provide itself with all the necessary components for aircraft construction. He pointed out that large companies, such as Boeing and Airbus, collaborate with about nine global suppliers of components.
Chemezov also said that Russia was forced to independently produce all components for its aircraft. Mishustin agreed with this statement, recalling that during the Soviet Union, all aviation components were domestic production, were made within the country. Chemezov agreed with this fact and emphasized the need to return to the practice of full domestic production of aviation components.
“Exactly. In the Soviet Union, it was precisely. Forced, in general, to return to the same practice, ”the head of Rostec emphasized.
