From January to March 2025 in Germany, 536 projects of unknown drones were recorded in Germany, Bild reports with reference to the report of the Federal Criminal Affairs Agency. Most drones noticed over military bases – 117 times, and objects of important infrastructure – 88 times.
Particular attention was paid to the naval base in Wilhelmshafen and the Ramstein air base, where up to 15 drones were simultaneously observed. The drones also flew over airports, defense plants, railway stations and government buildings.
The report states that there is no evidence of the participation of foreign states in these flights, but this option is not excluded. At the same time, in Germany there are laws prohibiting the military to shoot down drones, even if they can be dangerous.
