At the opening of the forum “Territory of the future. Moscow 2030 ”In the Campus of MSTU named after Bauman introduced a new unmanned self -destination KAMAZ “Jupiter 30”. The machine was created by university engineers together with PJSC KAMAZ.
This dump truck does not need the driver and is intended to work in quarries – it transports ore and rocks in areas where the presence of people can be dangerous. The car does not even have a cab.
Jupiter 30 weighs 30 tons and is equipped with a hybrid power plant, which makes it more economical and controlled. A unique feature is the turn of both axes, so that the machine can move like a “crab”.
The dump truck is also equipped with an energy recovery system, improved suspension and can work in shuttle mode – there and back along one route.
