Oracle and Google announced a partnership in which the artificial intelligence (AI) Google Gemini will become available through the Oracle cloud services and business applications.
The agreement will allow the developers to use the capabilities of Gemini models to generate text, images, video and audio, while working in the Oracle cloud infrastructure. In addition, corporate customers will be able to use Google and the Oracle applications designed to manage finance, personnel and supply chains.
Payment of services will be carried out using the Oracle cloud loans system, which customers are already used for calculations for other services of the company. The parties did not reveal the financial conditions of the agreement.
For Oracle, this step fits into the strategy of providing customers with choice between various AIs, and not promoting only their own technologies. For Google, the agreement opens up the opportunity to expand the presence in the corporate market and attract customers who are now using competitors, including Microsoft.
