Google introduced the Pixel 10 Pro Fold folding smartphone – the first Fold in the world with full protection by IP68.
This means that the device is protected not only from water, but also from the smallest dust and grains of sand, which were previously considered the main enemy of flexible screens. For this, Google has used a new hinge without gear, which is more reliable and durable.
There are few changes in the appearance: the case has become a little already, and the frame is thinner. In a folded state, an Actua 6.4-inch display is available, in the open-8-inch Super Actua Flex with a brightness of up to 3000 threads.
Another improvement is an enlarged battery, although the company does not disclose accurate numbers.
The smartphone received all the key innovations of the Pixel 10 series: the Tensor G5 chip with an accent for AI-Zadachi and support for QI2 charges through the Pixelsnap system. Wireless charging is limited to 15 watts, but the accessories on magnets can now be used as conveniently as in magsafe.
The cameras remained at the level of the past generation and are inferior in capabilities of the “flat” models of the Pixel 10 Pro. Pixel 10 Pro Fold will go on sale on October 9 at a price of $ 1799. Two colors are available – “Moonstone” and “Jade”.
