Qualcomm introduced the new Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, focused on the smartphones of the middle segment.
The novelty appeared almost exactly a year after the release of the previous model, but the revolution did not occur – the company focused on slight improvements while maintaining accessibility.
The chip is still produced according to the 4-nm process and uses the familiar CPU 1+3+4 scheme. The main upgrade is an increase in the frequency of the senior cortex-a720 nucleus to 2.7 GHz (against 2.5 GHz at the predecessor). As a result, the increase in performance was about 7%.
The remaining nuclei-three Cortex-A720 at 2.4 GHz and four Cortex-A520 at 1.8 GHz-remained unchanged. The ADreno graphics also received about 7% of the power growth, but the key update applies to display: now the screens are supported up to 2900 × 1300 pixels with a frequency of 144 Hz.

This can be useful not only for smartphones, but also for portable gaming devices.
The rest of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 remains an evolutionary update, offering moderate speed growth and preservation of the last generation and function.
