In July 2025, the specialists of the Center for Monitoring and Management of the Communications Network held a number of measures to protect the Internet. This was reported in its official Telegram channel.
Specialists have successfully reflected 680 attacks aimed at breaking the work of important stateisters. Basically, DDOS attacks were aimed at the sites and services of state bodies, transport companies and communication operators.
One of the most powerful attacks reached a speed of 750 Gbit/s. For comparison, this attack speed is equal to the transfer of 138 million messages (packages) per second. This attack lasted 5 days and 37 minutes.
Most attacks came from IP addresses registered in the USA, Germany, the Netherlands, France and Indonesia. The main places where the attacks were going on were in St. Petersburg, the Leningrad, Kaliningrad regions, as well as in the Crimea.
