The Russian government approved a plan according to which a mechanism of voluntary restriction of access to potentially dangerous information on the Internet can be created.
The initiative was entrusted to a number of departments, including the Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Culture, Roskomnadzor and Rosmolodezh. We are talking about content that can be considered harmful, but at the same time its distribution in the country is not officially prohibited and it is freely available.
According to the plan, the relevant authorities must submit their proposals to the Cabinet after a detailed study of all aspects of such a system. The term of the third quarter of 2027 is allotted for the performance of this task.
Earlier it became known that in Russia they plan use Artificial intelligence (AI) for the search and restriction of prohibited content on the Internet.
