Students of the Kazan State Agrarian University developed the Ergobot platform, which allows farmers to rent agricultural drones, the University of RIA Novosti said.
The principle of operation of the service is similar to car sharing: the farmer selects the desired drone through the application, book it for a certain time and receives equipment with or without the operator. Drones can be used to spray the fields, monitor the state of crops, assessment of yield, search for problem areas and create maps for accurate farming.
According to the developers, the platform opens access to expensive and modern equipment, which is usually inaccessible to small farms.
