The WCCFTECH portal, citing industry insiders from Chiphell, said that rumors about the AMD work on the Ryzen 9000 processor with two X3D chiplets are fake. Chiphell insiders said that such a processor does not exist. Chiplet is a microcircuit that is specially developed to jointly work with similar components.
There is a Ryzen 9000x3D, an analogue of Ryzen 7 9800x3D. Moreover, this processor may appear next year with a lower TDP due to a smaller clock frequency. It is expected that its performance will be comparable to 9800x3D in games, but it is unlikely to surpass the Ryzen 9950x3D.
According to WCCFTECH, the Dual X3D variant (two chiplets), even if there is an existence, can increase productivity by only 4%, which makes its installation inappropriate. Ryzen 9800x3D and 9950x3D already demonstrate impressive results with one X3D chiplet, and an additional increase of 4% does not justify the increase in cost and, therefore, labor costs for production. Moreover, two chiplets can adversely affect applications sensitive to delays.
It is also noted that the Dual X3D processors in the Zen 6 line can be in demand, but for Ryzen 9000 it would be unprofitable.
