Sber and Novosibirsk Region will develop AI

Sber and government of the Novosibirsk Region concluded an agreement on cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). The document was signed by the senior vice president of the bank Andrei Belevtsev and the regional governor Andrei Travnikov at the International Forum “Technoprom-2025”.

The parties agreed to jointly develop and implement innovative solutions, stimulate scientific research and create new technological services. Particular attention will be paid to the use of and technologies for the automation of key sectors of the region’s economy, including IT industry and industry.

As Belevtsev noted, the development of the national model of generative artificial intelligence is a strategic priority. Domestic solutions, such as Gigachat, provide data protection and deserve user trust. The introduction of Russian AI models in business processes can increase public administration and make services more affordable.

The Governor of the Travnikov thanked the Sber for the constant support of the region. He noted that the regional government has chosen a combined approach: readiness for experiments is combined with a pragmatic decision on the implementation of technology. In the field of artificial intelligence, priority is given to projects with a clear practical effect.
