Sber will send 1 billion rubles for the development of educational programs in the field of information technology and artificial intelligence (AI). Funds will be distributed between six leading universities in the country: MEPhI, MFTI, HSE, ITMO, Innopolis and UrFU University. Support was possible thanks to the participation of Sberblast in the contest of Grants of the Minzifra and the Analytical Center under the Government of the Russian Federation.
Financing will launch 14 training programs that will begin to work in September 2025. It is planned that by the school year 2025/2026 about 2,200 students will be able to act in these areas.
When selecting projects, Sber was based on already working and effective training models. In the track of artificial intelligence, the experience of the AI360 program, implemented in conjunction with Yandex, was taken into account. The basis for the IT direction is the program of the Higher School of Program Engineering of the MIPT, developed with the participation of Yandex and MTS.
Sber acts not only in the role of an investor, but also as an industrial partner – participates in the development of the content of programs, in teaching teachers and the formation of competent models. In July, 230 teachers from 26 universities took part in the full -time program. They got acquainted with the needs of the IT companies and the practices of students’ training, including the use of the ButkMPP platform and the Gitverse environment.
