The University of Sechenov is planning to create a center of laser technology. This was reported in the press service of the university.
The university will receive 250 million rubles from the Ministry of Science and Education of Russia to create a center.
The center will be headed by the Director of the Institute of Bionic Technology and Engineering of Sechenov University Dmitry Tilashev. According to him, the first task is to study how lasers affect living fabrics. The university already has experience in this direction. For example, together with RDS Rosatom, a laser laser laser flow was created, which is used in surgery. The second task is to make medical products using 3D printing. In the center, complex and individual things will be printed, for example, prostheses for maxillofacial surgery.
It is also noted that the future center will help other hospitals and organizations use laser technologies in medicine. They will not need to buy expensive equipment – everything you need will be in the center.
