On August 4-5, within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, the Civil Society Forum was held in the “Avaza Sports Complex” of the Avaza National Touristic Zone. The forum was attended by representatives of public associations, public figures, experts on civil initiatives from different countries, representatives of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan, the Central Councils of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Agrarian Party and the National Red Crescent Society.
During the event, the contribution of civil society to sustainable development, the role of public organizations in strengthening public relations, and issues of expanding international cooperation were discussed. The program included speeches, round tables, exchange of experience, and presentations of public projects. The holding of this forum in our country is a clear indication that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to civil rights, cooperation and public dialogue.
