During the report for the II quarter of 2025, Samsung officially confirmed that in the second half of the year, mass production of a mobile chip based on 2-nm technology process with the GAA architecture will begin.
Later, analyst Brian Ma clarified: we are talking about Exynos 2600-the first 2-nm company processor, which will be a response to the flagship solutions from Apple and Qualcomm.
At the moment, a little is known. Samsung said only about the improved work of the neuroprocessor (NPU) compared to the past generation. CPU and GPU performance have not yet been disclosed – perhaps the chip is still optimized.
According to rumors, Exynos 2600 will receive a 10-core architecture and technology for effective heat discharge: Heat Pass Block and Fan-to Wafer Level Packaging (Fowlp).
Production samples are already tested, and the company’s goal is to achieve 70% of the output of suitable chips before the end of the year (now about 30%).
Samsung has high hopes on Exynos 2600 – and not only in the mobile segment. The company already has a Tesla contract for $ 16.5 billion for the production of AI-chips for the same 2-nm technology process.
